Looking for a candle that doesn't smell like perfume?

Most candles get their scent from added fragrance. Ours don't need it. Pure beeswax gives off a gentle honey aroma on its own and burns with a warm, golden flame.

Made in small batches from 100% beeswax, with no paraffin, dyes or synthetic fragrance. Beeswax burns longer and slower than paraffin or soy, with very little smoke when the wick is trimmed.

The Wax

Beeswax is one of the oldest candle materials there is. Its color and scent follow the flowers the bees visited, so small differences from candle to candle are normal and part of the charm.

Questions about our beeswax candles
What are your candles made of?

Our candles are made with 100% pure beeswax, with no added fragrance, dyes or synthetic ingredients. Just beeswax as it is.
Do beeswax candles have a scent?

Yes, a subtle and natural one. Beeswax has a light honey aroma that comes from the wax itself. No fragrance is added, so the scent can vary a little.
Why do color and scent vary between candles?

Beeswax reflects the flowers and nectar the bees were collecting when it was made. Because these change with the seasons, natural variation is normal.
What's the difference between the pillar and the taper pair?

Form and use, not quality. The 4" pillar is wide and stands on its own. The taper pair (2 × 8") is slender and made for candlesticks and tablescapes. Both are the same pure beeswax and both are $12.
Do beeswax candles burn differently?

Yes. Beeswax generally burns cleaner and longer than many other waxes, with a warm, golden flame.
How do I get the best burn?

Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before lighting, let the top layer melt evenly on the first burn, and keep the candle away from drafts.
Is it normal for beeswax candles to drip?

A little dripping can happen in a draft or on an uneven surface. That is normal for natural wax candles.
Are candles safe to leave burning?

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always place it on a heat-safe surface, away from anything flammable.
Do you ship or deliver candles?

No. Our candles are pickup only, at the Bella Vista Flower Farm Store in Brenham, Texas, open daily 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM (summer hours 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM), or at the Brazos Valley Farmers Market in Bryan on Saturdays, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Choose your location at checkout.
Can I return a candle?

Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 3 days of pickup. Contact us at contact@bellavista.farm to start a return.
